Welcome to the Decentralized Wireless Business Team.
Our Decentralized Wireless Team has embraced a new method of deploying, maintaining, and capitalizing on physical wireless infrastructure.
For the last century, telecom networks have been centrally defined, deployed, and managed, often requiring extraordinary sums of capital and administration by government or utility-scale private companies. However, starting in 2019, a new company - Helium - pioneered the world's first scalable decentralized wireless network, based on the LoRaWAN® protocol.
It's a community-maintained network offering public wireless services to IoT developers and consumers. In exchange for doing so, hosts earn a valuable cryptocurrency called the Helium Network Token (HNT). In two years, together with a strong and growing community of enthusiasts, Helium has built the largest public LoRaWAN® network in the world, but the story has only just begun.

Decentralized wireless is a new approach to building public networks, and it's here to stay. The Decentralized Wireless Team at CalChip Connect validates, distributes, and sells wireless infrastructure (both LoRa® and LTE), as well as point solutions (IoT devices and services) that connect to public decentralized wireless networks.
